Preface to Peace

Preface to Peace

As peaceful as the term 'peace' sounds to us, I think we often overlook the actual set of preconditions to achieve the true glory of peace. I think the ideas surrounded by the concept of peace must require a massive re-visit by all of us. Within the context of the modern world, each and every one of us, are 'obscurely' forced to contribute ourselves into the severe sufferings of humanity and humankind in so many ways. By 'each and every one of us', I specifically mean the people like us who have enough luxuries to have a computer or other such sophisticated devices to read this blog over the web.

By saying all these, please note, I am not implying that we should re-invent the wheels by any means. However, I would argue that most of us do not even know where those 'wheels' are, or how the wheels are working, or if there exists such wheels to promote humanity in a hopeful direction. In fact, the idea of 'wheels' or anything to do with the wheels have become a mere matter of driving luxury cars on the freeways of the free world (or, dreaming about them for the majority, to be precise). I am aware that there are many intelligent people around the globe, who are genuinely doing their best to make things better for the overall humanity. However, we should not set any limit to ourselves as to how many more of them we require to confront the severe complexities.

It has been the unfortunate usual case that the people who genuinely tried their best to promote humanities, human-rights, and truths have always encountered systematic oppressions and violent oppositions. It has been the case all over the globe. Their thoughts, visions, and efforts have always been suppressed, discouraged, questioned, and ultimately discarded in so many occasions. Even centuries after Galileo Galilei's life imprisonment due to the accusation of heresy, as well as other hideous events of imprisonments, tortures, and death penalties to so many known, and unknown truth-seekers and promoters of humanities along the way, our 'modern' world is still suffering from the analogous issues in various smart and obscured ways.
